Why is the flood situation in the day after tomorrow not very accurate?

Not only that but why is it not accurate that the sea-level would rise that much and why is it not accurate that the arctic thaw in the beginning of the movie would act in such a way. Why is it not possible for the glacier to crack that far across and deep?? what is and what is not accurate about the way the sea-level and arctic thaw are portrayed in this movie??
