Install Windows!!!!!?

Our Acer laptop recently crashed very badly erasing all data on it, once i turned it back on it said it couldnt boot up due to an unexpected restart, now there is a message saying press "ok" to restart the computer and install windows, so we click ok and then it restarts and the message reappears over and over and we have no clue whats wrong. Anybody have any suggestions?? can we get our stuff that was lost back off the laptop??
