I don't know if I should ??????????!!!!?

Well I use to wear my hair down but I have long straight dirty blonde hair and where I live is very humid & hot so I started wearing it up in a ponytail about ummmm 1 and half years ago. I look good in it and no one says anything , my friends say that i should wear it down but I think it looks weird i found this really cute layered hair cut in a book and i was thinking about getting it done like that so I can start wearing it down , should I? What do you sugest? I want like a sidw swept bang but nothing like nicole Richie . I have long hair down almost ot my waist i don't want it short. ANy pics would be nice!!!!! BTW i am 13. 5'1 or 5'2 - how tall i am if it matters.
