How do you remove an iodine stain from a piece of white cotton fabric?

unfortunately as iodine is a dye it needs to be treated immediately before it dries otherwise it will stain permanent. If the iodine is still wet make a paste with cornflour and water and spread on to the stain. Change for fresh paste and repeat till stain disappears. Hope this helps...
