Are there .... help me correct them....,,grammatical and others?

Kate Chopin, in her short story “ The Story Of an Hour”, illustrates a woman to whom Marriage was not kind. “The Story of an Hour” is very similar to Kate Chopin’s life. In the story she put in the picture a married woman who feels relieve by the news of her husband’s death. In the story she says that the husband was killed in a train accident. In real life her father was killed in a train crash. Kate’s mother, Eliza was sixteen years old when she married Thomas O'Flaherty. Kate’s father died when he was fifty years old and at that time, Eliza was twenty-seven. She never remarried. Kate’s mother wanted stay her free and independent.
